These pliers are very well made.

I'm not a professional user but for home use you can't beat these pliers. I love the fact that they are made in the USA. We should all thank Channellock for keeping us in production.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • High price

Do not go. RUN!

The old (6 inch paddles) were much better. They had more metal and were more durable. Mine were stolen so I bought these pliers. Time and Money Don't even try to go back.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Functionality

They sent me a previously returned product with a defect

The packaging showed they had been returned earlier. I'm sending them back, probably for the same reason. They don't come close to meeting each other. For a 6 inch linesman they are useless for the small wire they are typically used on. I feel bad for the next juice they send it to. I spent extra money on a "good brand". mistake

Pros
  • Superb Design
Cons
  • Secret

Very good cutting pliers best in Pliers

These pliers had a tight hinge and the handles were poorly sharpened in front of the hinge. An hour's work with small files, oil and valve lapping paste freed him. Now it is a pleasure to work with him. If they were more grounded they would deserve 5+ stars. I will be buying more of these handy tool pliers for my cars and motorcycles. Both Channellock and its customers will benefit if workers work less frantically and more carefully!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

What I don't like about Channel Lock products

What I don't like about Channel Lock products. I remember when I was a kid my dad gave me my first Channel Lock pliers to fix my bike. I've been a fan ever since. These 6 inch pliers are fine when working with thinner wire, but you need the surface finish and stability that the pliers provide. They are easier to work with smaller cables than the 8" or 9" versions typically required for heavier gauge wire. Cable.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Jaws do not close fully

The jaws of my pliers do not close fully. I don't know if they should be like that or not. But I have requested an exchange and will update the information on the replacement unit. EDIT: I received my replacement pliers today and they are in the same condition (see photo). Jaws do not close. In fact, it's even worse now that I have pliers with cranked handles. The Code Blue grips on the left are installed incorrectly (not fully inserted). I tried to push it in but it won't budge; looks like…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen
