I bought 2 of these lamps to read in different rooms and at different tables. Price was a deciding factor in buying 2. The lamp can change shades of color and there is also a 'touch' control panel for adjusting the brightness, turning on/off, choosing a color and setting the in the lamp built-in timer on turns off. I highly recommend this lamp for casual reading or homework.

I am returning this table lamp. I was a bit disappointed with the design. Thought it would be slimmer, not as chunky. Lighting is ok. Lots of options. The kit does not come with a cable adapter but I have had several of these before so this was not a problem for me. But the lamp is very heavy. If I want to adjust the position of the hand, I have to hold the base, otherwise it will fall. Just doesn't work for me.

I really like this lamp. My only concern is that it flickers at times. It's not bad and barely noticeable. It's not permanent, but it's still an issue. Otherwise this is a great lamp. Timers for 30 or 60 minutes are a great feature, as is a USB hub on the side. I also wish there was a way to replace the bulbs on these types of bulbs instead of throwing them away when they eventually burn out. I still rate it very positively for the price and how it works.
