It's very hard to work with

It's very hard to work with. I had to keep heating it in the microwave to use it and it's very difficult to clean. This is certainly not easy for laypeople. It was very scary to work.

Oil Based Reusable Modeling Clay Awesome

I was looking for a putty that wasn't as waxy as the Monster Putty and didn't settle out like the Monster Putty. This retained perfect detail, no distortion and allowed me to create a perfect silicone copy. Highly recommended! Chavan, you have a new client in me!

Slightly sticky but overall excellent clay

I really like these types of clays (Chavant, Monster Clay, etc.) because they are really good for sculpting and are relatively easy to work with. . Although clay sticks to tools, it's easy to cut and shape. I would probably recommend hard chavant tone for comparison, but medium works well.

tone choice!

Well, this clay seems very dirty. Feels greasy and feels a bit heavy on hands. Also everywhere where it shouldn't be. My favorite to date! It's Monster Clay. It's more of a wax base. Wow, much better working with him. Much cleaner! Both brands can be heated in the microwave. The monster clay seems to be much more manageable and probably heats up a little faster.

Overpriced but great product

Absolutely perfect medium for sculpting but you may need HARD for more detail but for me it's perfect. This is similar to the environment of Super Sculpey. except for the only downside, it sticks to everything I think - surfaces, tools, clothes, etc. However, I generally don't recommend buying a single block here; it is too expensive. Buy either Monster Clay or a 5 block/10 pound box; worth a lot more. I use this when I want to create separate casts/molds for detail or effects on figures that…

and it was great. I saw some comments about what it was.

I bought this as part of a character modeling class and it was great. I saw some comments saying it was too hard and the professor recommended using a clamp on the lamp aimed at the piece of clay to keep it going. I found that cutting small strips with a clay knife and then layering them on the model and then smoothing them out was the best and quickest way to work with it. I haven't found a need for a heat lamp, and if you take a piece that's too big, you can hold it in your hands for a few…
