I have two Chemex coffee makers, the second model is hand blown for 1-3 cups with a classic wooden collar and tie. It's a nice item but I use this larger one more often despite being the only coffee drinker in the house. On the one hand, the wooden sleeve gets so hot that pouring it out without using a paper or kitchen towel becomes cumbersome. A glass handle that doesn't get hot solves this problem. However I would suggest buying direct from Chemex or to buy locally know what you're getting I received a broken classic 8 handle mug and quickly ordered a replacement the first and second are very different the first was a gift so I'm not sure who the Order followed, but the second came from Barista Labs (which according to the Chemex website is an authorized seller).
