I wanted to remove the muffler and was afraid to put that cherry bomb in it, but I did it anyway. The male. I'm glad I did. I modified my exhaust to get rid of the stock resonator. I didn't like the scratchy sound in the exhaust so I added that little one at the end just before the exit. This took away the hoarse hum and made it a nice sound without losing the harsh growl, I'm very happy with the result. It was easy to weld on, the finish feels very solid and I love the "cherry" signature. Bomb" red. This is being abused where installed and I am sure it will continue to be so.

Maybe I'm biased, but I installed it on a 2005 Jeep GC with Hemi. I don't have a resonator, just a straight pipe into the exhaust pipe at the outlet.
