quality product. for kitchen and dining room

I received another paring knife from an AMAZON order that I liked, so I wanted to return or cancel this order. But the knife is absolutely high quality, as you would expect from CHICAGO CUTLERY. And I'm keeping it It has a thicker wooden handle just perfect for my severe arthritis hands to grip and use. I am very pleased!

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • The list will be long.

upset. Best Cutlery & Knife Accessories

I have always loved this brand and have been very happy with it but this purchase has not been confirmed. The pointed tip kept flexing, and I've never had a knife like this before. Finally he broke off. I have one that is 20-25 years old and still usable but I figured it was nearing the end of its life so I made this purchase. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Useless Features

Not like earlier. Chinese scrap

Ordered to replace the same Chicago table knife that is 25 years old. No comparison. The handle of the new knife is too square and uncomfortable to work with. The blade is twice as thick and has lost the necessary flexibility and is too thick to cut potatoes, carrots, etc. without jamming. It's cheap junk.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • old

Wooden Handle Mating Knife

A small wooden handle kitchen knife can never go wrong in a crowded kitchen and everyone has one of these banging around the kitchen. They're also great for gardening when it comes to picking vegetables from the vine or cutting back shoots in times of copious tomato plants.

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Available in white only

Sharp and precise for cutlery and knife accessories

I have an old Chicago cutlery set but the paring knife went missing a while ago. This inexpensive replacement is almost exactly the same as the one I had before. The wood has a slightly different color tone, but there can be several reasons for this. It's close enough in color to not look out of place with my other knives. It was sharp enough right out of the box and cuts very cleanly.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Some little things

They don't make them like they used to!

When my husband and I got married 31 years ago we were given a set of Chicago Cutlery knives and I loved these knives so I ordered two more! Well, when I first opened the box and saw that they were made in China, I didn't buy any products that were only made in the USA. After using this paring knife for the first time yesterday, I washed it in soapy water, put it in the dryer and found this morning that the handle was cracked! It was only after the first application! I am very disappointed to…

Pros

  • Disappearance

I've had this knife longer than I care to say. And that's my everyday little workhorse. Easy to sharpen, walnut handle with brass tips holds up well. "Chicago Cutlery 1005" can still be read on the handle. I tried to pry something with them - my mistake and broke the tip off. Thank God I found this exact knife. I ordered two! (like a Prime Revain subscriber sent them "two days free" - with LaserShip - and like they often did today, delivered them the next day) Hooray. I'm back in business. I…

Good for the price.

Chicago Cutlery once made professional quality knives. The knife is now distributed by World Kitchen and made in China. The first thing I noticed after taking the knife out of the box was that the handle was loose. The tang (extension of the blade) goes all the way through the hilt, which is a good feature, but light is visible between the tang and the two scales (wooden parts of the hilt on either side of the tang). After washing the knife several times in warm water, the scales apparently…
