Sizes in Set: 1/16 - 1/2 x 64ths; #1 - #60; A - Z. Number of Tools: 115. Manufactured to NAS 907 Type J geometry aerospace specifications with self-centering 135-degree split point penetrates hard material without a pilot hole and produces small chips to reduce clogging and gold oxide is a thinner oxide surface treatment than black oxide typically used to identify cobalt steel tools; performance is similar to uncoated tools. Subpar Quality, Disappointing Performance

As someone who works in the industrial and scientific field, I was extremely let down by these drill bits. Despite being marketed as heavy-duty and cobalt, they barely lasted through a single project before dulling. The only positive is that they are relatively inexpensive. However, the poor quality and disappointing performance make them not worth the investment. Save your money and invest in a higher-quality option.

Pros
  • High performance due to cobalt construction
Cons
  • Pricier compared to regular jobber length drills

What do you expect from Chicago Latrobe

It's nice to be able to buy a quality instrument made in the USA. These buts are the real deal. And although they may seem expensive at first glance, they are worth it.

Pros
  • Sizes in Set: 1/16 - 1/2 x 64; #1 - #60; A - Z
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

VERY GOOD DRILL

Excellent drills - no complaints. It's definitely a bit above average. Haven't blunted any bits yet, with medium use, although I did break one of the smaller bits, but that's my fault. I know I've drilled over 100 holes in regular mild steel with one drill bit and it still works. The drill bits wobble a bit now and then, but maybe it's me or my drill press. can highly recommend this set. I was also able to buy replacement bits from Revain, one size fits all. If you are a homeowner or hardware…

Pros
  • Manufactured to aerospace specification NAS 907 Type J Geometry with self-centering 135 degree tip penetrates hard material without a pilot hole and creates fine chips to reduce clogging and gold oxide is a finer oxide surface treatment than regular black oxide which used to identify cobalt steel tools; same performance as uncoated
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
