New Skater - Enjoy my Chi-Town skates!

I received my Chi Town skates a few weeks ago and am enjoying them! Since the nearest ice rink is some distance away, I planned to practice frequently in the empty parking lot near my house. Due to the fact that I bought wheels for both indoor and outdoor use, I expected a "rough" ride, especially on factory wheels and bearings. I am pleasantly surprised with the ride and the feel of my skates! The ride is smooth for me as a beginner. Not disappointed. As some have suggested, I'm glad I checked

Outdated bearings, order one size smaller. The boot came off the skate.

Junk stock I am planning to buy a better set. I rode maybe an hour and the right front bearing on the right leg fell apart. I also wear a size 12 and ordered a size 12 but wish I was a size 11. I ordered the women's version for my wife. Same results. Update: I rode for another 2 hours after changing bearings and wheels, luckily a friend had an old pair that I put on. But now the shoe is separating from the skate itself. I'm a 220 pound male, I can skate well and I'm pretty fast in the turns, so

I am a beginner roller skater and this is my first pair.

I bought these boots to get into the world of roller skating. My shoe size for men is 8.5-9. I bought these skates in size 9. They're a little big, but thick socks help. They come with a cheap skate attachment that flexes when you try to adjust the toe supports. I highly recommend getting a better quality skate tool for easier adjustment. After loosening the wheels and adjusting the trolleys, I was rolling...and falling in no time. In its standard form, this quad handles flat smooth surfaces…

Falling apart on the rink

I bought these skates thinking I got good quality skates for the money I paid. Not really. The boot is cheaply made and feels that way. The first night on the rink my toe came off and my right front car became so loose it almost fell apart. I had to tighten it about every 15 rides to keep it from falling apart again. The lug nuts were also loosening over time and this all made me concerned for my own safety on the rink. If my skates fall apart, I don't want to think about it while skating. For…

Beginner skates that require professional tuning

As stated in the description, these are leather lined boots. Vinyl outside, leather lining inside. The boots need to be broken in, so they will not be comfortable at first. I wear a size 9.5 and ordered a size 9 according to the size chart. The boots are a bit big, they fit me from shoe size 9.5 to 10. The sock has about 3/4 inch space. I can't find anywhere in the description that it says soft or hard wheels. They feel softer than my 78a longboards. So I'd say it's probably a 78a and they're…
