🐵 Hooded Monkey Dog Sweater Review

This sweater is thick but a little rough. My dog is 77 pounds and has a large chest. Finally something that fits her scope. BUT it is about 5 inches longer. and she will get it dirty if i let her wear it outside. Instead of returning, I folded, ironed and sewed. Not sure how long that will take. And I really can't think of a length that would be suitable for anyone other than a basset hound, corgi or dachshund.

Very cute sweater, especially the ears. Just like the "Hund und Hase Hoodie" this one seems to fit as intended and is quite warm to the touch. Our boxer mix gets quite warm after wearing it at home for a while. I'm not sure if it's just our broad chests, clumsy heads, or a blemish, but the sweater's collar has stretched and is starting to unravel a little in the front. It got to the point where she couldn't wear it anymore because it was too loose and she ended up wearing it like a skirt!

I was so excited to see it was cheaper on Amazon than the website. I used to work for Chewy.com (stay away from them, terrible company to work with) and fell in love with these dog sweaters. They are amazing quality and I know my furry rat will be warm when he goes outside. Besides, the hood and pattern are so charming. I got my first one about a year ago and my dog wears it every day during the winter months, it stays on and I haven't had to wash it yet (my dog has wool, not fur). Wash in cold

The design is so cute I am very disappointed that this sweater didn't work. The first thing I noticed upon opening the package was that the wool wasn't soft, but had an odd oily feel (like it was coated in wax). I was ready to ignore it, but then kept poking when I touched the sweater. I looked more closely and noticed that twigs were stuck in the thread. I removed 6 of these before giving up because they are everywhere! Will return. I can't imagine the dog itching.

I bought this for my 8 lb chihuahua. She is very sensitive to cold and needed extra warmth, which she seems to provide. It feels thick and looks pretty well made. Of course the monkey is cute and I like the hood with the ears but I don't like the hood which is difficult to pull over the head and doesn't hold up well. My dog started shedding hair as he got older so I was on the hunt for sweaters. It seems all good ones are sold (or just not sold) in plus sizes at my local pet stores and Target, so I experimented with Revain. Super sweater! Very well made and cute, but be sure to try one of the local Chilly Dogs or order from a place that offers free returns. They are usually very small (just in case, increase the size by one, and preferably by two).
