Best quality at Bristol Paper & Vellum

I used parchment paper for the first time to alter the pattern of a dress. The paper is thick, transparent, very comfortable to use. My drawing will last forever. I recommend this paper for sewing.

Cons
  • The list will be long.

Get the job done! in Parchment

I usually buy individual sheets of 24x36 parchment for sketching at a local art store, but I've found this to be a lot less expensive. Sure, it's a bit awkward to cut every time, but with a 36-inch T-square, it's easy.

Used for flash photography

I do a lot of product photography and I love this lightning protection product. Flash through parchment. Creates soft diffused light. Good product.

Marker not required

If you use markers (such as Chartpak) with this parchment, be careful. After a week or so, it will spread and your picture won't be as sharp as it was when you first painted it. I use my Clearprint parchment to draw and render cars (remember "Concept Sketches from the Big Three Drawings"). Prismacolor Crayon, Gouache, Nupastel and even the marker go very smoothly (Prismacolor Crayon EVER goes bad? I didn't think so!) And all the colors stay very natural and saturated, but wait a week and this…

Pros
  • Art paper
Cons
  • Big and chunky
