Bamboo knitting needles are the best in my opinion. Nothing slips, my seams stay even, they're comfortable to wear and I've found my hands don't sweat or tire as much because I don't have to strain to hold everything in my hands. I would buy all the bamboo needles if I could :)

Best I've used so far. It lies comfortably in the hand, the thread does not slip off, as with aluminium. Very good quality for the price. The only complaint is that the tip is like a freshly sharpened pencil and gets you there if you're moving really fast. The tip becomes a bit blunt after repeated use and the fingers can no longer grasp it. Now I just use them.

love these needles for the price. They are smooth and the yarn slips off easily, but not as easily as metal needles. The cable can feel a little stiff at first, but will become more flexible over time. I've read that soaking the plastic under hot water or gently heating the plastic can speed up the process. I haven't done this, so I don't recommend it. (I accidentally sat on my own brand of needles and found them loosening under the warmth of my nice, nice ass. Don't try again at home. Great…
