I did what I needed with this connector but I find the pins you need to solder the wire to are difficult to machine to make a solid connection. If I had to repeat it, I would buy a connector that already has a cable attached. Aside from the pin issue, overall quality appears to be acceptable.

Very good quality connector. The I-ring is sealed and durable. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the clamp's strain relief is very large and doesn't seal smaller cables properly. . I ended up using strong heat shrink tubing with glue to make up the difference and ensure a watertight connection.

Soldering to my solar panel wires was easy and the connector mates with my Furrion connector on the front of the trailer. It is a good product to mount Furrion fork on RV trailer with solar fork. There's no need to buy a portable solar panel when you can get a solar charger, cable, and this connector for less than $50 and a 200W solar panel for $100. Thank you.

The product was pretty simple. A person must be able to solder. I tinned the terminals on the connector and the wire I attached before soldering them together. It helps to have "helping hands" (with a magnifying glass) for soldering to hold each thing while you work. I tied a knot in the cord to absorb any tension that might be on the lead wire. Collected again. Works perfect! I already had the necessary tools because I work with microphone cables, audio cables, guitar cables from time to time.

Use this special fork. Also, I have a portable solar case that only has alligator clips to attach to a household battery. So I bought this connector, cut the terminals off the solar case and soldered this connector to the wires that used to be attached to the terminals. A success and I didn't have to pay a lot of money for a specific Furrion solar system that costs a lot more and is still made in China.
