Description of Cobra Carbide 11275 Regular Diameter
Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Slight left hand cutting action gives excellent control of the burr and grinder. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. Double-cut style has rows of cutting teeth cut in two intersecting directions for fast material removal and a rougher finish. Permits faster penetration and material removal rates, due to the chisel edge; reduced pull improves control and reduces operator fatigue.

Cons
Some users report difficulty with maintaining a sharp edge.
I have not used this particular drill bit but I have spent some time with others from Cobra Carbide which have not failed me. I was a little frustrated as the picture shown for this item is for the 3/8" diameter version, not the 1/4" version I ordered. I didn't pay attention to the picture as the price was great given the quality of this ridge. Buyers beware, read the actual title and description before believing the painting is what you are buying.
