Works very well so far

Not sure about the longevity but this unit has worked very well for me so far, especially for the cheap price. Used with a fishing kayak as well as a canoe for solo fishing. For an old bastard like me, that's a lot easier than hoisting him onto a car roof. No issues with sticking suction cups as long as I clean the window and suction cups first, but that's to be expected. Definitely a good buy for the money.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Minor issues

This makes loading and unloading the kayak easier.

I love this product, it works great with my Yakima rollers. I couldn't put the kayak on the wheels without leaning the kayak against the car roof. The role solves the problem. This allows me to easily move it up and down on my own. I've read comments that it doesn't stick to the window. I only use wipes to clean the window before installation. You can tell when it's attached to the window and when it's not. I also deflate it to be safe before lowering the kayak.

Convenient loading for short people

I'm 5'1". I'm loading a kayak on my Toyota Camry. Before I got this trunk, I tried both rear and side loading. m is too short to lift high enough to side load. When loading from the back I had to put it on the trunk and slide it up onto the roof. Even with the towel down it was difficult not to get scratches This unit solves the problem I mount it on a truck and can easily put one end of a kayak on it then I can slide it up until it's on the roof rack This makes loading quicker and easy.

will not fit Outback 2021

Will not work with rear window style on newer Subaru Outbacks. Due to the position of the suction cups you cannot move the roll high enough on the window as the spoiler/window bar will prevent you from opening/closing the clips. If you then move the roller further down the window to be able to open/close the clamps, the kayak cannot get over the overhang/spoiler. I went back and ended up with a Malone channel loader which has suction cups and clips in front of the roller so works great with my…

It works! But try it first.

Works very well. But you need to define a few things. First, when you lean the kayak against it, what prevents the kayak from rolling back? And what protects the steering wheel from bending or rubbing on the road? Second, how will you attach or detach the cart during loading? Third, does the roller put pressure on the sensor on the bottom of the kayak? Finally, is it safe to transport a kayak open? For me, the Hobie Outback Mirage 2020 was pretty easy. Connect the trolley, connect the loading…
