Works great: Kitchen & Dining

Works great, filter is easy to rinse and clean. I can buy a $7 can of Starbucks or a giant $7 can of Yuban, use a cold brewer, and drink coffee for long periods of time with much less fuss. In addition, no electricity is required - fill up and give it a little time, done!

Great but less messy if you don't put coffee grounds in the filter.

First I use regular store bought powder so I put it in a jar with no filter. After 20-24 hours I carefully place the filter in the jar and seal it with a lid/spout. Then I pour the liquid into the second glass. I throw the rest of the soil in the backyard garden. The filter is easier to clean, just spray water into the filter to squeeze out the grist. It's not as messy as putting the grounds in the filter and then removing the filter when the brewing is complete.

Great product at a fair price. Larger basket required

Overall great product. For cold brewers with a submersible filter, this is probably the best option, barring a $100 kitchen gadget for 1/4 the price. The filter is easy to fill, the coffee is easy to strain and after 24 hours simply remove the filter and pour out of the pot. The only thing that struck me was the strength of the brew. Kitchen Helper has a higher base to water ratio, so more like a concentrate. I wouldn't call it "concentrate," just a strong cold beer; I don't drink it diluted…

Great product despite some dirt running through it.

Update 05/03/2019. It's been almost a year and this thing still works. There are no quality problems yet, I use it twice a week. I throw it in the dishwasher after every use, so I've probably washed it 100 times. It still works great and I am very happy with my purchase. Get one of these fine mesh filters to solve your coffee grounds buildup problem. First Review: This thing is a game changer for those of us who are used to paying $5-$7 for pre-made iced coffee at the grocery store…

THIS IS THE START OF THE YEAR FOR COLD BREW - wonderful.

>>> Uncompensated review from a true coffee lover <<< I've always been a true coffee lover, but I've never liked the acidity created when java is heated. I have no idea how much I've missed the magic of cold brewing until now. ADVANTAGES - Much lower acidity and better taste. - No need to wait for manufacturer heating/draining etc. - CB holds up well and allows you to cook a day or 2 batches of java - easy cleanliness - any mason jar will work - Reg & Decaf and. or various…

Great iced coffee is easy

Instead of using heat to brew coffee and then chilling or glazing it, the cold brew method creates a smoother, less sharp or acidic drink that I can enjoy without sweeteners. or additives to mask the great coffee taste. Not to mention that you shouldn't process your coffee as you please, just say I don't need it anymore. This coffee maker works very simply and conveniently. I don't use coffee in the filter method. I use the coffee in a can and leave the filter in place until I've finished and…

The seams are better than expected.

EDIT 4/26/2018: For more consistent results I am now monitoring my beer. Here are my first notes. The beans were ground for filter coffee. A typical serving is 4 oz. Batch #1: 1 tablespoon chicory, 1.75 cups ground beans, add water, stir, insert filter, shake, add water. Keeps 24 hours in the fridge. Yield 19 oz of final product. Very concentrated; perfect for those who like to drink without ice. Batch #2: 1 tablespoon chicory, 1 cup ground beans (77g/2.72oz), add water, stir, insert filter…

Excellent cold brew system

Although I'm new to cold brew, I did a lot of research before purchasing this cold brew system. And I would highly recommend it to anyone. A few quick tips for beginners.1. First, for those of you who use municipal water supplies, your water is probably chlorinated. I do, so before I start making a batch, I fill a large bowl with cold water and set it on the counter while I grind the coffee beans. This allows the chlorine to evaporate, not that it hurts anything, but I'd rather not put it in my

Finally found my cold brew system!

I love iced coffee and have been using the Toddy Maker system for over 10 years. But cleaning and coffee waste eventually made me look for something else. After reading about many other systems, the simplicity and cost of this system made me want to try it. I'm glad I did. Although it took me a few tries to get it down to the right strength, and even in the least messy way, I was consistently making at least a batch or two a week. It's so simple that I'm drinking a lot more than usual (which to
