If you know how to use this tool it's fine for basic leveling but don't expect great accuracy. There is play in the connection between the black stripe and the red stripe when they are connected, which is bad. To get somewhat accurate readings, you need to pull it back (or push it forward) during the measurement. As mentioned in other comments, the red alignment button is a bit loose. But IMHO, that's enough. Remember to pull it back when measuring. You can also make sure the retaining bead is free before you put the two pieces together, otherwise you'll end up with a nice long scratch on the black piece.
