Enhanced CCD Color Mirror Image Car Rear View Backup Camera for Mazda 6 and Mazda RX-8 Review

Using this product, our team found that the camera was poorly made and displayed a low-quality image. The mirror itself wasn't very useful as well. The only positive thing we could say about it is that it was easy to install. Overall, we were disappointed with this purchase and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for reliable Automotive RV safety and security solutions.

Pretty easy setup for the RX8. I had to remove the stock headlight and file the block a bit to get it to size. I soldered the LED wiring to the original number plate light wires and routed the camera power wires behind the bumper through the frame into the trunk to connect to the left reversing light. The camera is activated when reverse gear is engaged and provides a video signal to switch on the dashboard monitor. The rails are tight and too narrow for the RX8 by about 1.5 feet on each side…

Shame on me for trusting a cheap $15 backup camera from a seller who has all kinds of stuff. The description refers to work done on the 2009 Mazda 6, it is not included as you can see in the photo, the holes under the panel for the license plate light and the removable bezel do not match the form factor for this camera. the camera came with no instructions, in fact there was no english on the box so i couldn't google the manufacturer.
