I just received my Black Widow Scorpion Pencils. I love her! They run very smoothly. I loved the first Black Widows and now I'm in love with this one. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a smooth colored pencil. It even seems that they have improved the quality where possible. I am very satisfied and will order more in the future. I have other cheap and expensive pencils but these are my favorites!

I say this is a great addition set because there is no black or white in this set which is ok because it complements the Black Widow set. These pencils are smooth and bright, hold the tip well, and are unlikely to generate too much dust. It is very difficult to draw a thin line as the leads are very soft, making it almost impossible to get an exact point. Even if it's just sharpened it won't stay good for very long because it's so soft. The colors are very bright. The names of the different colors are clever, instead of "moss green" they call it "pit green", for example. I ordered a set in a box instead of a can with the same number of colored pencils. I've noticed that those sold without a tin can don't have the color names on

I was watching some video reviews and decided to try the Black Widow Scorpion Edition. You arrived today. Pencils are pre-sharpened and all intact. I've been drawing since the 1990's before it was fashionable and have used many brands of colored pencils including Prismacolor Premier, Faber Castell and Marco Reffine. EDIT: Having used these crayons extensively, I can repeat that they are a pleasure! I have two Artist Quality brands (vintage Prismacolor Berols and Blick Studio) and these Black Widow colored pencils. While not of "artistic quality" they are very smooth and easy to do. Depending on the paper used I can get 4 to 6 coats with light pressure and a nice smooth blend when buffing with a pencil or colorless blender. They sharpen well (I use an Alvin ball sharpener) and don't break. If you've only…
