This food slicer is broken and a strange black edge comes out when you cut eggs. It cannot be stainless steel as stated in the description. I'm asking the company to refund my payment. This is unacceptable for an item used for cooking. Please contact me from the company.

This item was listed as dishwasher safe but the facts are completely different. The outside of the packaging states that this item cannot be used in the dishwasher as it is made of aluminum and this item does not clean properly in the dishwasher as the detergent will stain the metal. The reason I bought this item is because it can be used in the dishwasher. This is a misrepresentation of this product

I am so glad that I bought this egg slicer. I've had the plastic and wire ones for years and they always fell apart and the wires were loose and misaligned. This food slicer is very robust and well made. The ease with which eggs are sliced is great and the wires run through and under the egg holder so the egg never gets stuck in the slicer. I highly recommend this product. Too bad I didn't stumble upon it and buy it sooner.

I cut fresh strawberries with an egg slicer and have been using it for about 2 years now! It was working great until one of the wires broke and I was afraid it would cut me if the wire was loose and not fastened! The new one didn't cut through the soft strawberries to the end! This egg slicer is well designed. It is designed for heavy-duty applications and constructed so that the cutting wires pass through the base. I have two other egg slicers, one plastic and one stainless steel, and neither of them make as complete a cut as this one. This is the best slicer I've had so far. The only downside is that cast aluminum cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher. Most people don't realize that dishwashing detergents will stain cast aluminum, so be sure to hand wash with soapy…
