Fits and works perfectly on a 2001 Honda Accord

In light of recent problems with expensive fuel theft I installed this retaining cap on my 2001 Honda Accord. Works and fits perfectly. Easy to turn on and off.

Fits caps as described

This gas cap fits as described on my 2017 Equinox. It was easy to install, lock and remove. I am very happy with this purchase. That reassures me when gas prices are so high.

Good basic pump protection

Works best if you don't have a key fob on the car. This creates limited space to unscrew or reinstall the gas cap with anything attached to the key. Knowing this, it works well and is easy to use.

The information above says it will fit my car and it does.

My check engine light came on even though it says it fits my car. The Chevy dealer charged $65 for the diagnosis. I went to an auto parts store and since it came after I changed the gas cap and the code showed the gas tank area I will save the code and delete it. So if anything else comes up, I'll update my review.

Works great

With gas prices so high I wanted to make sure someone couldn't smash my truck window, open the gas door and steal my gas. The mounting cap is mounted like the original cap. However, if you try to remove the cover without unlocking it, the cover will not unscrew. After opening the lock, the key can be removed from the cover, and then the cover can be removed to fill the fuel. When put back on, the lid locks and locks as usual without a key to lock.
