Works out of the box, very convenient, requires no software and looks exactly like the original which is an added bonus. Only 4 stars because of the brand just because I'm a picky son of a bitch, that doesn't reflect on the product in any way.

This was a remote replacement for a Samsung remote and TV. I wanted to leave a review after leaving a pre-purchase review and some were good and some were bad. This one looked the closest to what we were replacing, so I went with it. It worked immediately after inserting the batteries. trill it for the price.

The remote control has the same functions as the original, but there is one annoying flaw: in order for something to change, you have to press the buttons evenly, if you do not press correctly, press until you get one find place. While not a deal breaker, it's still a nuisance.

Good and bad news. It doesn't need any instructions at all - maybe they're available on the internet, but if there are, then there's nothing on the packaging. Now for the good news, you put in the batteries (they don't come with the remote) and it works with your Samsung TV right out of the box - you just use the remote to turn the TV on and it changes channels and does the basic stuff . This remote didn't work at all. Most reviewers say that after inserting the batteries, the remote worked automatically with their TV. That wasn't the case with us. There are no instructions in the "packaging" (just a large zippered bag). We are returning this item and will find another one to order.
