Came to find out the black and red wires we had connected wrong at the factory and I had to connect red to black and so on. Very frustrating, one of them was good and the other bad.

I got this kit to connect a solar panel to a camper van using a SAE cable. I didn't pay attention and overlooked that the connectors are the same, ie if you connect one it is red/red and at the other end it can only connect red/black. Didn't come with a warning but I should have paid more attention. All-weather caps are leakproof and reliable. After figuring out the switch I installed them on my RV battery box and they work great!

The plastic isn't rigid but is somewhat flexible while still being thick enough to feel solid and conform somewhat to anything you've ever bolted on. The wiring is also very thick, 12 AWG, so the electric fairies will enjoy a high-amp bullet train. The dust cap closes well and has a grip or crack on the sides. Due to pre-tinned wires, I'm not sure if the cable is copper. But so far it works great and the installation was easy.

I think those giving a bad review about reverse polarity might be a bit unfair. These connectors were designed as a power (output) port, so the positive red wire terminates in a covered socket pin. For those of us using this as a power source to connect solar panels to a controller for example; yes, the color polarity will be reversed, however this is not intended for this product.
