I bought this because I need an extension cord with a detachable power cord. too close for them to plug in power supplies (transformer plugs) - I could only use two outlets when using transformer plugs. If you already have a desktop power cord and only need three outlets (no transformer plug), that's great. They don't seem to have models with more than three outlets. I put this on my guitar effects pedal because it's small and has a power cord plug instead of a solid cord so I can choose my length of power cord and remove it when it's not in use . This piece is great and I am happy with the overall quality. It's made of plastic but feels very sturdy.
