Durable Coating for Exterior Construction

After I put it to the test, I'm impressed with this durable coating for exterior construction. The product is easy to apply and withstands harsh weather conditions without chipping or fading. The finish is also aesthetically pleasing and complements any building design.

Pros
  • Durable, easy to apply, aesthetically pleasing
Cons
  • Limited color options

They do what they say.

This is my first time using wood screws and they do what they say. I usually drill a small hole to stick them in before driving them in, but they can cut a hole themselves if you're persistent. After starting to self-drill, it seems to do a good job of avoiding splitting the wood.

Pros
  • Quality wood carving Requires less torque to drive screw and provides maximum holding power
Cons
  • Out of style

Great for outdoor wood projects!

5" #14 Wood Screw with .54" anchor head is great for joining finished wood in fences, pergolas and other structural applications. I always pre-drill and use a drill to form a head pocket so that the head of the truss is perpendicular to the axis of the screw shank. See photos. The upturned pockets are later sealed with a small amount of wax copper sealant intended for the ends of the treated wood. These screws have a strong and durable grip that minimizes movement or twisting of the treated…

Pros
  • Super sharp knurled Type 17 screw tip reduces the need for pre-drilling even in hardwoods
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled
