Cooper Armrest Console Storage Ashtray Review

Just installed mine on my 2014 Cooper Clubman. I really like him! Very easy to install and the USB charger is such a plus! A little more storage and now I can actually put my hand to rest.

Very easy to assemble, unfortunately it doesn't fit in my cup holder, it moves a lot and doesn't stay in one place even with rubber stoppers I will fill the cup holder with silicone so that it remains.

This product will not work with the Mini Cooper 03. Product instructions are images only, not descriptions. Product installation is ridiculous if none of the holes match and the product is different from the installation pictures in the instructions.

Did not fit as advertised. I modified it by bolting on the original armrest (pictured under the two round pads) and bolting over the original. It works. I definitely love the ability to place items on the top or bottom. The additional USB ports are also nice. Not a bad product but could have cost less due to material quality (thin).

It's designed to fit in a cup holder closer to the back of the console. To attach the armrest it was necessary to use 4 points of adhesive foam. The armrest was not secure or stable in any way. If you leaned on it to buckle up, it would tip over and you'd have to put it back in the cup holder. I think you could use the screws that hold the base of the armrest in place, but I didn't want to drill holes for something I didn't think was strong enough to hold long-term. But good idea.

. If you don't have a drill and screwdriver, you won't like this. But the rest looks good. It comes with non-slip pads to keep the console in the existing cup holder, but with the torque required to open the console, those pads aren't enough. Instead I screwed a couple of screws through a hole in the console on the very outside. And my MINI is so tight that I had to assemble the block before inserting it into the cup holder, very different from the instructions. It looks like I'll have to plug…
