I followed the directions very carefully and my result tasted like band aids, that's the closest I can get to . I brew my own root beer and it turns out great. This was a great starter kit that made a delicious Ginger Ale soda. It's a bit pricey to keep on a shelf, but I think it's a great introduction to the world of home brewing and sodas.
