Plenty of light: my feedback

I bought these to see if they would hold up better to my cats playing with the traditional ones and they do! No more broken slats for all the neighbors to see! I did have to use the black metal clips to keep one of them (the one closest to the cat tree) fastened to the window frame because my very mischievous kitten was able to pull it down after a lot of play time lol

Pros
  • Blocks out enough light to provide shade and is easy to install.
Cons
  • The color may fade quickly in sunlight

I'm upset I didn't buy this years ago when moving into my current apartment. I cut off about 2 inches. My method was bunching all the material up (like how it was shipped) and I took a white colored pencil and cleanly drew a line across the grouped up material. If done neatly and correctly, you should see the little white marks on every other fold. This will give you a clear and easy path to follow when cutting. The adhesive on the back is very strong, so make sure you take your time when…

Pros
  • Perfect for renters who cannot modify their living space
Cons
  • The shades may not be as safe as other products

You get what you pay for

These are super easy to cut and install but the clips they come with are useless. Neither the plastic tabs nor the black metal clips are big enough to hold the entire blind so you can't open them all the way and the box doesn't come with enough clips to use more than 2 per blind. If you want to keep your blinds down all the time, great. But if you actually want to open them during the day and only put them down at night, these are a complete pain in the butt.

Pros
  • Blinds & Shades
Cons
  • The shades may not be as customizable as other products

Good for nap time for my opinion

So overall, I'm happy with these. I was looking for a cheap solution for my baby's room that didn't require any drilling. They definitely work like they should and really cut out the light. Install was super easy and only took about 5 minutes. I would have given these 5 stars but they are most definitely NOT 72 inches. They are maybe 60" if you really stretch them. So I'm super disappointed that they don't cover the whole window, but it will work

Pros
  • Simple instsllation
Cons
  • The product may be overpriced for its quality

Tips for using these blinds.

First, don't stick them above the window to fall down in front of it -- stick it to the strip just above the window and let it cover the window. I've done this with every paper blind I've ever bought, and they have never fallen. It might be because the surface is not wood, like it would be if I hung it the way they recommend. Buy the big binder clips to attach to them -- the white plastic clip is light duty at best, and the medium binder clips do not open widely enough. The blinds are supposed…

Pros
  • Window Treatments
Cons
  • The shades may not fit snugly against the window frame

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Difficult to use in my review

They were not evenly darkened, or perhaps thinner in some areas than others? Whatever the case, if you cut them to be the exactsize of the window to seal out all light, it is super hard to keep them pinned up, and gathering them is time consuming. Would work good in a van or car I suppose, but for home windows that actually get used, they are not convenient enough for us.

Pros
  • Design concept: The appearance of the room darkening pleated shades is simple and atmospheric--no bead chain, no curtain line, children and pets avoid the risk of being entangled in the chain.
Cons
  • The product may not be as energy-efficient as other products

Not bad but. for my opinion

Looks and works great, but do not buy the gray if you trying to decrease the amount if sunlight coming into the room. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Provides an affordable alternative to expensive custom window treatments
Cons
  • The shades may become discolored over time

Easy installation good for me

Got these to help w keeping rooms cool, this is our 2nd pair ordered. They were very easy to install and are working well. It definitely keeps rooms dark if you need something for those on a night shift schedule.

Pros
  • Comes in a pack of two for convenient coverage of multiple windows
Cons
  • The product may not work well with certain interior designs

Installation: my feedback

These look great and where easy to install. My Mom had gotten new windows and they told her she would be out of warranty if she drilled inside the new windows to hang brackets. Very nice quality.

Pros
  • Provides a clean and streamlined look to windows
Cons
  • The shades may not be suitable for those with arthritis or grip issues

Great blackout shades but wish there was a way to keep up

These blackout shades make my room dark as to where it blocks out light and lets me sleep peacefully. They’re super easy to install as it’s just a 3M strip to attach to the wall. I didn’t need to cut it and it took seconds to put on. I have normal blinds in my window sill and I just put these in front. The downsides is the instructions are terrible and don’t help at all. The clips it comes with are pointless. I wish it came with a way to roll up or keep them hanging to allow sunlight to come…

Pros
  • Offers good light control for a comfortable and cozy atmosphere
Cons
  • The shades may not be as effective at reducing heat gain

Good but use different adhesive

This worked fine for what I needed. I was using them to basically cover up some garage windows. There is installed but I did use another 3M adhesion nothing. Once up Doc perfect for any. Just be aware that the adhesive include it is not worth anything

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • The product may be difficult to return or get a refund for

Don’t waste your money!

Bought this to block out some light and give some privacy to my daughters newly remodeled bedroom. Wanted something simple and didn’t want to spend a ton of money. Well I should have saved my money these were definitely not worth the money we spent. They stick very well which I guess is a positive, but other than that I consider these a waste of money. They say they are 36”x72” but obviously they are 72” fully stretched out before they are pleated because once installed these were short. I…

Pros
  • Adds value to a home by enhancing its appeal and functionality
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for those who want a more modern appearance

Perfect for what I needed!

These were a perfect, affordable solution. I wanted something for the top half of the window to block the sun and heat. They do the trick AND look nice doing it. I love them! They filter just the right amount of sun and heat. Absolute perfect solution for my needs.

Pros
  • Can be used in any room of the house, from bedrooms to living areas
Cons
  • The shades may not be as easy to clean as other products

Bad adhesive strip best in my review

These look great and are easy to install. However, the adhesive strip is not strong enough to hold the blinds for more than a couple days. It IS strong enough, however, to remove the paint from your wall when you take the blind down. I recommend putting the blinds up with thumb tacks or push pins if you're only planning on having these up until your permanent blinds arrive.

Pros
  • Pleated Shades
Cons
  • The shades may not provide enough ventilation for airflow

Better than any of the others out there!

These were SO worth the money. I decided to give these a try after my other fabric ones were starting to loose shape after a year. I rent, and am not supposed to put holes in the walls so temporary shades have been wonderful for me. I tried redishade paper (they lasted a few months), then redishade fabric (they lasted about a year.) These I can already tell are better quality and has a better adhesion then the others I've tried. The fabric is real fabric, not paper-ish fabric like the ones I…

Pros
  • Does not require any tools for installation
Cons
  • The product may not be as easy to maintain as other products

Great for renters good for me

This is the perfect price and easy to put up. I rent a small house and had no interest in spending a bunch on fancy blinds.I really just wanted to have a little more privacy at night without losing daylight. These bad boys are great for both.I use a box cutter knife and it gave me a nice smooth cut. Total installation on all 6 windows took about 30 minutes. Just make sure to clean the area with rubbing alcohol and let it dry before you adhere it to the window frame. It came with the white clips…

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain with a damp cloth or brush
Cons
  • The shades may not be suitable for those who want a more high-end look

Sizes might be wrong

They are ok for the money but i ordered 36x72 and even though it says that size on the package there is no way the length of these are 72in.mine aren't even close.

Pros
  • Home Décor Products
Cons
  • The product may not be as long-lasting as other products

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They tear easy so handle with care.

I have the green/gray color. They block out some of the light, I use them in addition to a regular blind. I do recommend them, Overall they do what they are supposed to.

Pros
  • Easy-to-use clips keep the shades securely in place
Cons
  • The product may not be as easy to install as advertised

Quick and Easy. Love these!

Very easy to install. A great alternative to using expensive blinds. These look like blinds without the cost and installation hassle. Love these!

Pros
  • Loved it Exactly what I needed.
Cons
  • The shades may not be suitable for those with allergies

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They let in more light than the cheaper paper ones I had.

They let in too much light, I didn't know until I had already cut it too size. They also seemed short, I had to clip them to the window handle to keep them closed. Pretty disappointed

Pros
  • Cordless design reduces the risk of accidents and entanglements
Cons
  • The shades may not be as effective at reducing UV radiation
