Supportive, good quality!

nice sturdy block. i needed something with a bit more 'bass' to it for my practice as my Gaiam foam blocks would rock and roll under my hands when trying to complete standing balance poses. these do the trick. a bit stiff for use on supine poses so i will likely also buy foam but will buy the Hugger Mugger brand for those as well since they are much higher quality.

Pros
  • Can be used as a tool for physical rehabilitation
Cons
  • Cork material may not be as smooth or comfortable as foam blocks

Love this yoga block

Love this yoga block. I bought this because it's the same one my yoga studio provides during class and I wanted one at home to use when I can't make it to class and practice at home. Its a perfect yoga block

Pros
  • It is what it said it would be. Cork is a renewable resource and I prefer the feel of it.
Cons
  • May not have enough grip for advanced yoga poses

Quality yoga block in my review

I am a huge fan of this yoga block. I recommend the cork ones simply because they are more comfortable and stable. Some people claim that they are too heavy, I honestly dont think think item weighs that much more than 1 lb. I have no problems using it whatsoever. If you are a trainer and need to transport a bag of 15 of these, I could see that getting a little heavy. Otherwise it is plenty lightweight for me.Some people claimed that their cork block came cracked when they got it. I ordered 2 of

Pros
  • ‎8.9 x 5.9 x 3.5 inches
Cons
  • Can be noisy during use

My hands don’t slip!

Love ‘em. My hands don’t slip, the slightly heavier weight makes me feel virtuous, and I’m really glad they’re not plastic!

Pros
  • Very sturdy yoga blocks and beautiful
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other materials in the long run

Nice Quality on my review.

The Hugger Mugger Cork Yoga Blocks were a little pricey but seem to be well made and are holding up well. I use DVD's at home to perform Yoga so I wasn't concerned with the weight of the blocks which other people commented on. I had never seen blocks used in my classes but was introduced to them on a DVD. I don't have anything to compare them to and have never seen them in stores. I was happy to find them online and I'm pleased with my purchase.

Pros
  • An affordable alternative to other yoga blocks
Cons
  • Rounded edges may not provide enough stability for arm balances

Great product good for me

This is a great product and it is as advertised. My wife and I have been doing the p90x and these blocks are very sturdy. The blocks are made of cork and are great quality. We bought one and were so pleased that we bought another. Would recommend to anyone.

Pros
  • Provides excellent support during yoga routines
Cons
  • Can be more challenging to use for those with limited strength or mobility

Well Made, Kind of Heavy

Up until I bought these, I had only used the foam or wood blocks. I didn't love the give of the foam and the wood ones are both painful and loud when I drop them (which happens a lot.) The cork seemed like a good solution. They seem well made and do the job. I give them four stars because they are heavier than I thought they would be, though that fault really doesn't come into play that often.

Pros
  • Helps deepen breathing exercises
Cons
  • Rounded edges may not provide enough support for the spine

Nice rounded edges.

Well, it's a block of cork, which is just what I expected, and it fulfills its purpose well. I think the cork blocks are a little heavier than other synthetic blocks. One thing I wanted to point out to potential buyers is that in the picture shown on amazon, it looks like the block has very sharp edges (may be the lighting) but actually all the edges of the block are all pleasantly rounded. It looks better in person than in the picture. This is my second one, so I knew what to expect but I…

Pros
  • Supports weight-bearing and inversions
Cons
  • Rounded edges may not be as effective at supporting the hips and pelvis

Great Yoga Blocks in my review

My Yoga teacher and my goddaughter both recommended Hugger Mugger Cork Blocks when I started practicing Yoga (about 2 months ago). I have been extremely pleased with these. They are really easy to grip (no hand slipping) while being extremely solid.

Pros
  • Helps develop core strength
Cons
  • Can be harder to find replacement blocks if lost or damaged

A GOOD MISTAKE for my opinion

I ordered the wrong size and found them to be too large & klutzy to work with-- but rather than return them, i stuck with using them for my yoga practice. Now I am very pleased. They help me with my balance. Most of all, they are quite sturdy which gives me confidence while using them.and they are still lightweight enough enough to handle/manipulate in each exercise. I need to use them in order to increase my flexibility while still being certain I am safe in doing so.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • Rounded edges may not provide enough stability for some poses

Worth the extra $ - my new review

I am relatively new to yoga and wanted some bricks. I am used to the foam bricks used in most yoga studios but I was getting a little lost in reviews. I found these and despite the price being slightly higher, it seemed like the stability might help with a newbie. I am so glad I made this choice! I do notice a difference compared to the studio foam blocks: these are much more stable and I don't have to have my weight exactly lined up to get them to balance. They are NOT heavy but they are…

Pros
  • Blocks
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with sensitive skin as cork can be rough

Love these! - my new review

These blocks are just awesome. They are the only blocks I would ever buy. I was introduced to them at the yoga studio I used to take classes at and they were used all the time there and seemed to hold up pretty well. Now I've got a couple of these at home and I really like how they look and feel.

Pros
  • I like the rounded edges. Is nice with shoulder work without cutting.
Cons
  • Heavier than foam blocks, making it harder to transport

Disappointed it's only 1

The description was not clear in that this is only one yoga block. I should not assume, but I did, that it came as a set of two. What good is 1 yoga block?

Pros
  • Stylish design for added flair
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to use during dynamic movements or transitions
