Perfect yoga blocks!

These blocks are great for my at home practice. They are much stronger than the foam blocks and yet not as heavy and bulky as the wooden ones. It is perfect for all yoga poses.

Pros
  • Lightweight and easy to carry
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to adjust during poses compared to foam blocks

Awesome Environment Friendly Yoga Block

I got this yoga block as a Christmas present. I have used it many times already and it is great. It comes wrapped in tight plastic. The block had only a small feint smell of cork in it even though it was tightly wrapped in plastic. The light smell went away after less than a day. This block is slightly heavier than the common foam blocks, but for most yoga positions it doesn't matter. The yoga block feels solid and sturdy like a regular block. I would definitely recommend this yoga block to a…

Pros
  • It's a block. Color is yuck, but it does what it is supposed to do.
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for those with injuries or limitations

Very good yoga block

The Hugger Mugger Cork Yoga Blocks are so much better than the styrofoam ones. I have been using these blocks at home and really like the weight of them. They are very supportive and I don't have trouble with them falling over.

Pros
  • Ideal for beginners and experienced yogis alike
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to stack for certain poses

Sturdy Blocks - my new review

I used two of these blocks in my home practice. I like them because they are heavier than the typical foam blocks, so they're less likely to tip over when I'm using them at their tallest height. I can never reach the ground and stay balanced in standing splits or half moon, so they're very useful.

Pros
  • Aids in mindfulness and stress reduction
Cons
  • Rounded edges may not be as effective at targeting specific pressure points

the best hands down

I've seen some other brands of yoga blocks in stores but hands down this is the best made one I've seen. Just think of it like this, buy a quality product like this and only buy it once.

Pros
  • Made by a reputable yoga company
Cons
  • Can be more prone to wear and tear with heavy use

Hugger Mugger in my review

Another beautiful solid cork yoga block! I like the name and the color of this ink, however, I do wish it were embossed. That would add much to the quality and workmanship of this block. The grip is excellent--3 1/2 inches is perfect!

Pros
  • Enhances flexibility and range of motion
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to hold in certain positions due to shape and texture

Wonderful addition to practice

This block is great - -just the right size and the material is wonderful. I do travel with it, and I don't find it to be cumbersome at all. The block helps to keep me aligned and remind the body of proper positioning.

Pros
  • Compact size for easy storage
Cons
  • May not be as durable as other cork yoga blocks on the market

Yoga Blocks in my review

I use my yoga blocks a LOT and like these Hugger Mugger blocks the best of what I've tried. The edges are rounded for a nice feel and the blocks fit into my hands nicely.I have tried a different cork brand that was too big to hold easily and the edges were too square to be comfortable. I've also tried the bright colored foam blocks and like them for some things, but not for others - they fall over too easily in the tallest position. So for all round use, I like the Hugger Mugger blocks the…

Pros
  • Versatile block can be used for multiple yoga poses
Cons
  • Cork material can be harder to grip in certain weather conditions

Love the cork blocks!

I have tried the foam blocks before, but found the different brands to be inconsistent in the size and density. I've also used wood blocks and had a fear of dropping them on my bare feet during a yoga session. The cork is lighter than a wood block, heavier than a foam block, which provides nice stability. It is also eco-friendly and smells nice and earthy. I definitely reccommend the use of blocks to maximize your yoga practice.

Pros
  • Can also be used as a meditation prop
Cons
  • May have a learning curve when switching from foam to cork blocks

Perfect Size and Weight for My Smaller Hands

I originally ordered another brand (Maduka) that also had rave reviews. It measured 9”x6”x4”. They seemed to be well made and substantial, but they were just a little too wide and heavy for me, so I sent them back. I had a hard time using them with the half moon pose. The Hugger Muggers measure 9”x5.5”x3.5”, and the half inch difference on the width and depth made them perfect for my smaller hands. They seem very similar to the Madukas, but just a little smaller and lighter. I can now do the…

Pros
  • ‎Hugger Mugger
Cons
  • May not be suitable for beginners who require more support

It's a nice sturdy block

It's a nice sturdy block. I bought a second one because I liked it so much. The edges are rounded. This is a great block to standing poses where you can't reach the floor. I used it for Hero's pose when my butt couldn't reach the floor. It was fine for that too but it's not soft or squishy so it wasn't very comfy when I needed to rest my forehead on it, but the back of my head and my mid back was okay when Iaid on it for a move in the yoga series on daily burn.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to clean than foam blocks

Great Yoga Block! best in my review

This is a fantastic yoga block! I considered purchasing a foam one like my previous one, but I opted for this one instead. It had no funny chemical smell, like some other plastic covered blocks. This is made from cork so it is environmentally friendlier, and doesn't offend your nose buds. It is heavy, but does weight a bit more, and is harder than foam yoga blocks, so be careful when placing it down, or dropping it, since you will feel it in your toes.

Pros
  • This is a present that I have not given to person yet, but it looks and feels really nice.
Cons
  • Not as soft as foam blocks, which may be uncomfortable for some

Love the feel and weight of this block

I'm fairly new to practicing yoga and got this block because of the great reviews. It looks and feels great to use, and has helped me to progress in my practice!

  • ‎United States
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to hold in certain positions due to weight and texture

Solid yoga block good for me

This cork block is great! I've used this brand at classes for several years and finally broke down and bought my own - I love it! If you're looking for lightweight, this is not the block for you, however.

Pros
  • Good quality block that will enhance your practice. Be sure to have two blocks.
Cons
  • Only available in one size

Great for Yoga - my new review

Awesome! I've been using it for my yoga stretches and they are fantastic! Good durability, light weight, and functional!

Pros
  • Dampens noise for a quieter practice
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to balance on compared to foam blocks

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good product, but a bit overpriced.

These are an excellent product, but for what they actually are, they're a bit pricey. The quality of the cork is great, and the beveling on the edges is nearly perfect. I personally use the 2 pack of Eco Yoga Cork Blocks for at-home yoga, but this product is the one to 'show off' if you go to a yoga studio. They both do the job equally well, these are just prettier.

Pros
  • Helps improve balance and posture
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable to sit on during meditation

Perfect Yoga Block in my review

I wasn't interested in a colored, plasticine yoga block.Had been using a little box as a yoga block, and that's a littleprecarious, this yoga block is a really nice, earthy, corky, pliable material, I love it. It has just the right amount of give.

Pros
  • Comfortably contoured edges with sturdy construction
Cons
  • May not be suitable for those with certain medical conditions

High Quality Blocks; Good Value

I bought these blocks for myself b/c I have rheumatoid arthritis and some yoga positions can be very hard on my wrists. These blocks allow me to modify the moves safely. They are heavy duty enough to not slip while suppporting you, but not so heavy as to be problematic when moving them around during a workout or bringing to a class.

Pros
  • Can also be used for Pilates and other exercises
Cons
  • May not fit comfortably in certain yoga bags or carriers

Fat Guy Doing Yoga.

TOTALLY worth it.I am a morbidly obese man learning to do yoga for the first time and these have helped immeasurably. Solid and durable but light enough they don't cause a problem to move, these have helped me get into position I couldn't reach otherwise.

Pros
  • Can be used for stretches and postures in physical therapy
Cons
  • May not be as effective at reducing tension in certain areas of the body

Love my Higger Mugger products

Although cork blocks are a bit heavier than foam blocks the cork offers tremendous stability when you need it in a pose May not be as eco-friendly as other materials!

Pros
  • Easy-to-grip, non-slip surface
Cons
  • May not be as eco-friendly as other materials
