Almost 5 stars; still great case

UPDATE: It's been about a month and I've started measuring my results (overclocking and thermal testing). I thought in my setup (1 x 480mm wheel and D5 pump for my CPU (7900x) and another exact setup for my 2 1080ti cards in SLI I should be golden. Bottom line: yes and no. Have wheel up, because the exhaust and another one for the inlet meant my CPU (front inlet) stayed colder than my VGA which was on top (outlet)..My SLI cards overclocked up to 65C under load. Not bad again, but I was…

My new favorite case!

I've been a big fan of the Corsair Obsidian case series for years. In fact, I've reused an old Obsidian 650D and my previous 3 PC builds over the past 7 years. It's a fantastic case, but right now it's really lacking in some of the modern features found in cases these days. I've been building PCs for over a decade now and I have to say that the Obsidian 500D SE RGB not only looks great, it was an absolute pleasure to put in! Yes, it's a little expensive. In fact, I've never spent so much money…

DO NOT ORDER IF USED/LIKE NEW

When I first bought this case I didn't realize it was marked 'Like New Damaged Brand New'. Of course. I think that's theoretically true in a world where facts just don't matter. Whichever genius originally bought this case had some very original ideas for cable routing and the placement of the bonded RGB controller. I'm sorry, but that person should never be allowed to touch a computer again unless the specific reason is to do the most idiotic thing a person can do to demonstrate utter…

That's actually a good deal

Great and very well made case! I say this case is actually a bargain simply because it comes with three LL-120 RGB fans with a fan hub and a Corsair Commander Pro. If you buy the Commander Pro separately, it costs around $64, while a pack of three Corsair LL-120 fans with hub is $110. That's the $174 I would spend if I bought these items individually. Subtracting the cost of these items from the price of the suitcase is like saying I paid $76 for the suitcase. In any case, the glass on the case

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Bad set

I bought a Corsair Obsidian 500D to replace my current system from the original case (standard Asus from Best Buy). I love my Asus computer, but after four years it's time to start upgrading. Being on a tight budget I wanted to start with the case so I have enough room for future upgrades. This case is big and has more space than I'll ever need for a DIY build. This case is solid and looks great. I would suggest some backlit fans and LED strips if you really want to show off your components…
