Description of Cowlboy Locking Lincoln 2005 2014 Explorer

Consists of firm metal rod and hard lemon yellow plastic wedge, which is a quite available accessory to service your engines with great durability. While swap the camshaft or cam phaser work, push down the timing chain wedge tool between the timing chain and chain guides to maintain tension on the timing chain. The firm wedge prevents the wedge from falling when pulling. And the rod allows the wedge to get deep enough. Easy to use tool will save your time and money. Fits for Lincoln Mercury 2005-2014 vehicles with 5.4L and 4.6L 3V engines; Navigator, Ford Mustang, F-150, Super Duty, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, Explorer, Mountaineer, Sport Trac, Expedition. If you're not 100% satisfied with our item, simply return it for a full refund in 30 days, no questions asked money back guarantee. Premium Support & 18 months’ Warranty.

Used on 1998 F150 5.4 2V

It's a bit wide for this application but after trimming it worked great! As it is intended for 3V motors I rolled the dice and bet it would work. It's a bit wide and won't slip past the cam sprocket. Trimmed 'til it was gone, great job!

Used on 2005 Mustang. Cam Install

This was my first time installing a cam on a car and I was nervous. This tool worked perfectly and held the timing chain in place so I didn't have to remove the front of the engine. If you're doing anything under the valve covers that requires removing the cam or phasing, you'll need this tool.
