These molds were received in poor condition. They were in plastic bags in a shipping box too big for them. They were both warped, so the soap bars I made didn't have nice square sides...they were tilted at a pretty steep angle. I only make soap for personal use so it doesn't matter. I make 16 pounds of soap a batch and let them saponify in a mixing pot, all naturally insulated. Saponification usually takes about a week (sometimes 5 days). I monitor the conversion with a laser thermometer and see when the batch temperature is near or near room temperature, indicating the soap has finished reacting.
