Craftsman 9 31794 Slotted Phillips Screwdriver Review

The price doesn't surprise me but they are made in China. The description says "The Craftsman 17 Piece Screwdriver Set is made in the USA under a name you trust." Things made in China aren't always bad, but the misdescription is suspicious.

Two of these broke on first use. On one, the shaft began to rotate in the handle, and on the other, the tip split in half with relatively little torque. I have similar Craftsman instruments that have lasted 30 years but they look like stage props.

Purchased based on description made in USA. The packaging says Made in China. I decided to check it out, but there was a sticker conveniently placed above the "Made in" sign. I removed part of the sticker and it says 'Made in China'. If possible it would give zero stars if I was wrong.

The longest screwdriver in the package broke before we opened it. Someone in QA didn't do their job because there wasn't a clear sharp break. It was actually flattened - like it broke during production and they still covered and wrapped it. I want a replacement.

I remember my dad had a set of these tools when I was a kid and would regularly abuse them and then use them as chisels, punches or with the right side turned up and turned Use the handle as a hammer. They lasted forever so when it came time to buy my own set of screwdrivers the choice was very easy. with less attention. Great job master.

I'd appreciate a refund. Not as advertised. I'm quickly learning that Amazon isn't where real mechanics should shop. Very disappointed with Amazon for being misleading. The handyman doesn't do my business anymore. I hope others feel the same way about Revain using cheap imported instruments instead of high quality domestic ones. I won't waste my time taking them to the mailbox to return them. And everyone Merry Christmas.

I am extremely dissatisfied that I received a poor quality Chinese made Craftsman screwdriver set. I was hoping to get previously made screwdrivers from Craftsman Western Forge USA. These are not the Craftsman screwdrivers my grandfather used; these are not the screwdrivers my father used; These aren't the screwdrivers I grew up with. First America; American production; America is self sufficient.

I placed an order for this a few days ago and the order was completed by Ascend Ecommerce. Unfortunately the screwdriver set I received had a manufacturing defect; One of the flat head (i.e. flat head) screwdrivers was not machined at the factory and was just a 1/4 inch square drive bit. Sears quality control is clearly not what it used to be. If I want to get crappy tools, I might as well get the same set from HFT for $7! Also, I checked and my local Sears sells this set for $27.99, not $37.95

My experience with Craftsman hand tools has been very good over the years. My last set of Craftsman screwdrivers lasted almost 30 years. To be honest, they're probably still in good shape. (Be careful who also borrows their tools!) I expect this set to last at least that long. The package arrived quickly and this set includes a wide range of flat head and Phillips sizes. The reason I deducted a star is because: The snub-nosed Philips in my kit is crooked in relation to the grip. Not much, maybe
