Cheapest imitation Craftsman brand I can think of

Rough edges in molding, no retainer in pivot, not even chrome trim on eyelet. I was stupid to expect this and should have bought quality tools from a different brand at almost every store. The Craftsman brand is dead to me.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Requires socket

Another poor quality tool!

Nowhere near the quality of previous Craftsman tools. Especially when Craftsman was made in the good old USA. TIAWAN is no better than the junk that is made in CHINA!👎 I am 74 years old. I'm glad I've lived long enough to know the difference between quality and junk.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Safety

Don't buy Craftsman tools

I am frustrated with the tool that Craftsmen have been dismantling after 30+ years. I had to replace my 3/8 drive breaker and the new Craftsmen mug lacks the stop bearing which only flops makes it difficult to use. I was looking at a new crafting tool of the same type and the lock is missing. Buying Huskies after 40+ years I don't buy Craftsman tools

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad

Average quality Best case

Not fully polished as described. Does not have a ball detent for rotary positions. The set screw pin was too tight making it difficult to turn the head. This tool is no better than other non-professional brands, but no worse. Suitable for normal household use. It seems everyone now has a lifetime guarantee on most hand tools, so this is no longer the main feature of the Craftsman brand.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable
