I ordered this with a new latch that I had to install because my son had autism and ran away. I suppose it would have been a great system if the drill/saw blade hadn't been deformed. When I installed it on my drill bit it was about 1/4" off center. Instead of the saw spinning smoothly, it moved erratically and couldn't cut through the door. I used this tool to install hardware for 5 solid core internal doors. I found that the flexible nature of the material resulted in a slight misalignment between the front and back of the door. It didn't damage the door. Also, the device for adjusting the choice between 2 3/8 and 2 3/4 inch spines tended to slip on the longer spine. It caused a failure on one of the doors. When I think of Handyman I think of quality tools, not today! If I could give this product a zero I would. Hole saw bit is TOO LONG, good luck centering hole saw in round hole. I had to find my worn out hole saw bit and put it in this product just to line up the hole saw in the hole. The actual template for a hole saw is SHIT! Four small pieces of plastic center it on the door, hopefully you won't hit it or it's off center. I found a 20 year old jig I had and used it on my doors to make the…
