Why some manufacturers use steel drain valves I will never know. They constantly rust and leak. This block is made of brass and will last much longer.

Perfect fit. identical to the original. Same problem as the original as you really can't hand tighten it and the tank doesn't leak. The valve requires a turn or two with channel locks for a tight fit.

Used to replace a rusty portable air compressor that hasn't been used in years. Has worked perfectly, for several weeks of operation the new owner had no problems.

Very happy with this replacement, it's a genuine OEM valve that fits perfectly. The design is better than my original and best matches my old cast iron 1.5 (921 series) makeshift compressor.

I didn't put this in my air compressor but looking back I would buy pinwheels because they are easier to open when you can get under the bulky tank.

My compressor (Craftsman Pro 25 gallon, 919.19541) wasn't listed as compatible but it looked close so I gave it a try. It fits perfectly and is actually better than the original in my opinion as it doesn't have that silly reverse thread that the original had. Also, the red thread material you see in the product photo is a threadlocker/sealant to prevent leaks.

I have a compressor that I drain a few times a year ok, or at least I should. But I do it at least once a year. But at the same time I'm afraid that the plug will not work after draining the tank. Well, that was my apprehension in the old part. This replacement part seems to work, not just a one time thing. The old fork had a seal that kept breaking and I was never able to use the fork again. So you always have to order one after each drain. Now the new plug does not have this seal. Ha, I hope…
