🔧 Craftsman 8-Piece Screwdriver Set with Phillips and Slotted Tips, Model 9-47136 Review

I've always had a crush on Craftsman products. Although the brand isn't what it used to be, I still look to their hand tools first. This is a great set of Craftsman screwdrivers made in the USA. If you don't have such a set in your toolbox, you need to do it. If you don't have a tool box, then you should. Every family should have something more than cheap kits sell

I needed the BEST screwdriver set. Most of them I worked in menial jobs, but they wore out quickly, but were cheap (I won't name the country, but the world today is awash with trade and war with that awful cheap industrial junk, from almost one source. You understand that the source is from yourself) throw away-replace. I'm bored of this. As a young mechanic, I had Craftsman tools. They last a lifetime. I got my money's worth. They work great.

I grew up with the same set but made in the 1970's and it's not the same. They are good enough for light use and they look good. The shaft doesn't fully fit the grip and the steel is a bit lighter than I would like but I'm happy with them and only time will tell if they hold up. Today I'm much more relaxed with tools and don't worry about their quality for simple home use. If you're interested in trading, you might want to aim a little higher.

Exactly as described. Beautiful, functional, smart Craftsman screwdrivers that you've been buying from Sears for decades, except Sears stores have become pump rooms and the big stores sell screwdrivers like they're golf clubs or works of art, here with rubber, boutique style and such on. strange dazzling colors. If I had to do it again I would buy a larger set. Got exactly what I paid for but a larger set would have been more useful.

Good quality screwdriver. The handles are traditional, but that's a tradition that doesn't come with supreme comfort. However, they are not uncomfortable, but standard. I love that the handles are color coded so you can tell at a glance if it's a flathead or Phillips screwdriver. The metal is strong and straight and I've used them many times with no problems. They'll probably outlive me if I don't do anything stupid to them.

I recently purchased a Craftsman 17 piece screwdriver set and this base set for my truck tool box. The larger set from Sears is quite disappointing - made in China, trash pens, small refills, very poor quality all around. This set of 8 screwdrivers is like "once". I grew up with Craftsman tools. These are the screwdrivers that came in my first tool kit. They bite well, feel good in the hand. The handle is properly shaped to apply power when needed. The finish is spot on - not too slick but easy

Usual top quality Made in USA. I'm glad I bought these to complete my master kit that was missing a few. My only caveat is that I don't know what will happen to the Legendary Craftsman's Warranty as Sears is on the brink of bankruptcy and the Master was recently sold to Stanley/Black&Decker/Mac. The product description says these are USA made screwdrivers and I bought them based on that information. I received screwdrivers made in China. At first glance, the quality is very good. About what I expect from the more expensive items I find at major hardware stores or Harbor Freight. I leave the screwdrivers as they seem to be of decent quality. Time will tell how they hold up.
