Description of Crane 13165 Riten Brass Bell

RITEN BRASS BELL, ROTARY ACTION: Retro, vintage-looking premium bicycle bell with loud “Br-ring – br-bring” chime Fits 22.2-26.0mm OD bars. The BRASS model has a big 60mm wide polished dome of natural brass. It will patina with age. BEAUTIFUL, RESONANT SOUND: The large dome and brass material delivers a unique extra long chime. Crane Bell knows the pleasantness of the ring should come second to safety and loudness, but we choose to make BOTH a priority. PREMIUM JAPANESE BELL: Crane Bell Co. Ltd is bringing beautiful Japanese craftsmanship to your bike! We didn’t compromise quality on any part of this bell. Our bicycle bells are truly unique and for bikers who care about the little things. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE DESIGN: Looks elegant and smart on city bikes and traditional road bikes. Metal construction is much more durable than bells with plastic mounts and hammers. More pleasing to the ears than a bike horn. EASY INSTALLATION FOR MOST HANDLEBARS: Installs with a Phillips screwdriver. Fits mountain bikes, road bikes, touring bikes, cruisers, kid’s bikes, and e-bikes. Can be mounted to quill stems with compatible diameters.

This bell is top notch.

This bell is top notch. Sturdy steel and brass construction, louder than most, long chime in both directions, adjustable clip for small and large handlebars. difficult conditions. If you bought that carbon fiber mount to drop .05 ounces, this bell may not be for you. Take a plastic electronic ringer emulator. Lightweight cheap disposable. Weak metal clip. Yes, I put a piece of rubber tubing between it and the steering wheel. Problem solved. Better than the crappy plastic clips I had on my phone

Pros
  • BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE DESIGN: Looks elegant and refined on city and traditional road bikes. The metal structure is much stronger than bells with plastic clasps and hammers. Easy on the ears than a bicycle horn.
Cons
  • Fading

A cute thing-a-ling. HIGH QUALITY. GREAT SOUND

I explored until I turned purple. This bell is top notch. The fit and finish is smooth, shiny and ready to go. The large BRASS dome emits a clear, even annular ring. The metal strap fits comfortably on any size handlebar. No special measurements are required. The dome unscrews easily so I can access the internal mechanism. There is no oil on the moving parts, gears and rotating shafts so I sprayed silicone on the mechanism. This makes it smoother and prolongs its service life. Definitely…

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION ON MOST HANDLEBARS: Installs with a Phillips screwdriver. Suitable for mountain bikes, racing bikes, touring bikes, cruisers, children's bikes and e-bikes. Can be mounted on stock shafts with compatible diameters.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

That call (probably) saved my life.

The title may sound like an exaggeration, but listen to me. I drive about 60 miles a week in New York and it became clear early in my commuting career that calls are a must for the everyday city driver. After all, nobody will see you, but with this call, they will almost certainly hear you. I almost tripped over the front of a UPS truck the other day. The driver left a stop sign. I pedaled furiously along the bike path, which was partially blocked by parked cars. From the driver's perspective…

Pros
  • RITEN ROTATING BRASS BELL: Retro premium vintage bike bell with loud "br-ring – br-bring" ring Fits 22.2-26.0mm diameter handlebars. The BRASS model has a large dome made of polished natural brass with a width of 60mm. It will patinate with age.
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Love the Bell is good for accessories

I never had a bike bell until I rode across the Brooklyn Bridge on a Saturday afternoon. It convinced me of the need to have it. First I tried the Crane Suzu bell, it was loud but it was very sensitive to how tight I tightened it on the handlebars and how tight the nut that attaches the upper dome to the lower one was tightened. If the clamp or nut were tightened, the bell would not ring well. I had this on my 2003 TREK 1000 and it fell apart while riding on roads that were being repaved for…

Pros
  • BEAUTIFUL, RESONANT SOUND: Large dome and brass material create a unique, extra-long sound. Crane Bell knows that the convenience of a call should only be matched by security and volume, but we've chosen to make BOTH a priority.
Cons
  • No automatic
