Very happy with this high volume high pressure pump

I need to inflate bike tires to both high pressure and high volume so being able to switch between them with a switch is very useful. It is durable and the storage in the handle of the pen needle and other parts is very convenient as they are easy to lose and this is the perfect place to store them.

Will not work with Presto valves

I should have read the reviews first before ordering. but given the name CrankBro I wouldn't expect it to be rubbish. I found that this pump cannot be connected to preso valves. You think it's on, pull it and the nozzle just pops off on the first inflation. I also bent two flaps trying to figure out what the trick is to attaching them and to no avail and about 10 tries I gave up. Buyers beware and your results can be very good.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not the best

Don't waste money.

I've had a Joe Blow Pro for almost 20 years with no problems. Finally released. Bought because new Joe Blows are expensive. Now I wasted my money. Yes, an easy to read gauge, BUT READING PSI is like a random number generator. You never know if you are on the given number or not. Give it another pump and it can go up or down 10psi. This suggests you can make sure the worst fill nozzle stays on the pre-valve and doesn't come loose and leak. I have tried several different valves and they are allโ€ฆ

Waste of money, tires won't inflate due to leaking presta head

The pump itself would be fine if the presta valve head worked. It's not like this. It's not near. The higher the pressure, the more flows. I can get about 35lbs at high volume and about 60lbs at high pressure because the head leaks so badly it doesn't go higher. I have emailed Crank Brothers customer service twice to see if they offer replacement heads and have received no response. That tells me they knew what a piece of crap this pump is. And yes, the pressure gauge is very inaccurate at high

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

The best floor pump for tires.

Use this Crankbrothers floor pump for my road bike. Fits Schrader and Presta valves. Unlike the normal setting, the lever moves up to start inflation, not down. The most impressive and long-awaited feature is the dual mode (low and high volume). With a simple flick of the lever with your foot it switches between high and low volume, uses high for initial inflation and as resistance increases it switches to low making inflation between 80 and 110psi MUCH easier. . In addition, it shows a veryโ€ฆ

I hate this pump! And the fact that I'm stuck at it!

In the last 30 years I have only had two different floor pumps (2 each), a Park's Shop pump and a Silca's Shop pump. After replacing the head for the 3rd time (no big deal as I'm a pro racer and shop owner) I decided to give this Cranks Brothers pump a try as I like most of their products and it had a high volume feature huh I thought this would be great because I ride a lot of fat bike tires. I feel like I'm rocking and rockin' with this thing! I worry all the time about my tire (tubular) orโ€ฆ

  • Durable finish
Cons
  • The list goes on.
