looks like an old gasket that has been in storage for a while very disappointed don't waste your time and be cheap as i just bought the original enjoy

I'm hesitant to install as I thought it might be a worse product than the Cummins original but I've carried on with it and no leaks from 77 miles onwards. It does what it's supposed to do; keep the oil! The time will show.

Fits my 1998 12 valve Cummins perfectly. There are no leaks yet. Make sure it is installed correctly. The print was of good quality. Has an interchangeable sleeve, front main body, set/set depth tool and black ring which was pointless and I didn't use it.

This gasket is inferior to the original and although I used the correct tools and procedures to install the gasket leaked immediately after installation. I am a professional diesel mechanic and have installed Cummins crankshaft seals for many years. this is the first leak. One star is too high a rating, but less is not acceptable.

Works and fits as it should, you will need other tools for proper installation. I got my interchangeable bushing tool from a purebred diesel and had the gasket pressed in at a local shop that specializes in Cummins diesels. You will need some thread sealant like Loctite 545 to bypass the seal before it is pressed in. Just put the truck together, I'll let you guys know if it starts leaking due to the new gasket.

Unfortunately this gasket is a Chinese product and I like the American one, but the problem is that the Cummins gasket installation tool doesn't work properly with this gasket. . It has too much rolled flange on the inside where the steel driver needs to go into the gasket easily and it doesn't fit! The seal installation method must be used other than a Cummins style seal installer/installation tool.

I appreciate it when there is an aftermarket "fix" for a manufacturer's bug. This is one of those products. The compaction depth tool that came with this kit worked great. And the crankshaft bushing fitted quite snugly, using the harmonic damper as an adjustment tool for it. There's no need to buy that $40-$60 installation tool if you already have one that uses this damper.
