Bought to keep a board for staples in sewing. I needed something that would give space between the breadboard and the wall and it worked really well. Although I used my own nails which were longer. I'm sure the screws that came with it were fine anyway.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Using gaps on board for pens

I replaced the screws with longer ones to get to the studs and put small washers under the screw heads. My plaster/drywall is very hard so I didn't use shims against the plaster. I used two finishing nails to initially set up the pegboard and mark the holes for use. Then I removed the circuit board and glued the standoffs to the circuit board with a hot glue gun. Replaced the board with decorative nails and used the nail to punch a hole in the plaster/drywall up to the studs and insert the…

Good spacers BUT! Best home storage and organization

I mount on studs through drywall. The screws provided are 8 and 1" long and too short for my application. I had to buy 1 1/2" screws. If like me you have an old box (10-15 years old) with you, the standoffs have a bit on them now different size so I didn't mix them up.Here's a tip: if you use #10 screws, you can pre-install spacers on the back of the pegboard before attaching it to the wall. This is because the diameter of the screw slightly larger than the hole in the gasket.

  • Pretty packaging

but good solution.

I installed some 4x4 inch boards in my shop and wanted to install the board without a frame so it looked like a good solution. This would be true if I installed them directly onto the studs. But I installed them over 1/2 inch thick drywall with rivets. The 1/2 inch standoffs are narrow enough to fit directly into the drywall. They're also only useful if you're installing a 24 x 48 piece of pegboard as there really isn't an easy way to keep the spacers in place behind a large piece. So I didn't…

You don't get much here

If you love the pegboard, you need spacers. So it's good that someone makes them at all. I'm sure they are the only ones on the market. I don't think you should look a gift horse in the mouth. But you know, it's awfully expensive for 12 little pieces of plastic tubing and 12 cheap #6' screws. And the screw heads are too small for a 1/4" hole plate. Over-tighten and the screws will come through. So you'll need to buy some broadhead screws. And in my opinion 12 fasteners isn't enough for a 4x8…
