STURDY MACHINE - Reliable (with some adjustments)

I make QR codes on buttons (printed with a common printer) I hope to mass cut with a Cricut Maker machine. I dont like cutting individual pieces. The Button maker is sturdy, but i had to Bolt it down with MDF (heavy plywood) as a BASE. And it works great. Also i check the alignment of everything before i use it. And use a silicon type of gel to keep the Mylar / Plastic in place so it does not buckle. I have had a more than 99.9% success rate on these buttons. (User error was mine for not having…

Does not work good for me

So I've NEVER written a review before. But I'm only doing this to help other consumers. I've seen different reviews for this and many of the negative reviews have very similar responses. From an objective point of view, I feel like these machines are somewhat hit or miss. I ordered 1 and it barely made any buttons. About 1/10 buttons were feasible. I requested a replacement instead of getting a refund and I did button after button, probably close to 50 or so, and NONE worked.I tried different…

Pros
  • By creating your own buttons, you can help reduce waste and contribute to a more sustainable future
Cons
  • Expensive replacement parts

Worth every penny: my feedback

The machine has only jammed up once big time since I’ve had it it’s pretty decent button making machine I’ve made at least 60 dollars from this machine and more people plan to buy from me and I just gotta promote it’s definitely worth the money and I’m totally happy with it. One of my case workers even wants one or at least she did want it! Definitely would recommend this to anyone wanting to get into the hobby! Totally worth it in my eyes at all costs

Pros
  • 37.9 pounds
Cons
  • Parts can easily get lost or misplaced

Finicky, but worth it for the price

It works, but apparently only with certain paper types. Tried printer paper, cardstock, scrapbooking paper and photo paper. The photo paper is the only one that consistently worked, which is great because it has the best quality for the pictures. but I was hoping to use some of my fancy patterned scrapbook paper to make some button sets. The first machine was defective. It was almost impossible to pull the lever down, and it would get stuck and I had to pry it open. I contacted the seller, they…

Great once you get everything lined up!

I have the 44mm button maker and I absolutely adore it! I love making buttons and have quite literally spent hours just cranking them out. With that being said, there are a few pain points. 1. Paper punch: I had a hard time finding a paper punch that would cut my circles to fit perfectly into the button space. As a result, I ended up buying a 2-inch EK paper punch. With that, you have to line up the paper PERFECTLY into the machine otherwise, you'll ruin many buttons (take it from one who…

Pros

Cons

refills unavailable

The button maker works fine. It jams from time to time but is fixable. However, do not purchase if you ever would like to make even one button more than the supplies that it comes with. They do not offer more refills and will not point you toward any place where you can buy them. I tried to buy some elsewhere and they won't work with the machine. I encourage you to shop for a different button maker that will allow you to buy more button parts when the time comes.

Pros
  • Labor-Saving Handle: The handle of the button maker machine is designed with an emphasis on ergonomics. It offers a comfortable grip for you. What’s more, the non-slip rubber on the top of the handle will prevent accidents.
Cons
  • Requires a lot of time and patience

Fair enough buy, but the cutter is rubbish!

Didnt have to wait too long. Easy to put together, but those were some dirty allen keys provided! My 8yo daughter could work it on her own once we figured it out. The edges of the base are a little sharp, so just be careful when you're starting out. It still requires some counterbalance when pressing down the lever, but it's fairly straightforward to use otherwise. The cutter it came with is absolute rubbish though. Bought a separate 1.25" paper puncher which was waaaayyyy worth its minimal…

Takes a bit of practice but a great little machine

If you assemble it correctly and take a moment to read the insteuctions and UNDERSTAND THEM before starting, you will really get a better go at this. The machine works well and is a great value since it comes with pieces to make 1000 buttons. Now, I have had an 11% fail rate, and I do take the time to run the steps through smoothly, it seems to be a failure between the sealing of the plastic to the metal piece in the first step. I've made about 230 and I've had about 27 flop straight from the…

The best hobby for my teenage daughter!

The product arrived swiftly and is packaged nicely. After receiving the button maker I see that it is an excellent value with regard to everything that comes with it for the money you spend.Reading previous reviews was very helpful for my teenage daughter when she was ready to use her button maker. We made sure to use sturdy paper - not copy paper - we use photo paper personally. My daughter is an artist and draws her own images to make buttons for family and friends. We make the image 35 mm to

Cons
  • Not suitable for children under 10

Ive had this machine for 3 years. Only had one issue with a part coming loose, and I was able to fix it myself. I finally ran out of the button set parts (the metal plates/plastic backings) they gave me with the machine. No problem, I thought. Purchased some plastic-backed button sets somewhere else here on Ebay. Here's where the problems started - these didn't work with the machine. Tried some metal backs. Nope. None of the button backs I tried worked with this machine because they were…

No complaints for my opinion

The only problems I have encountered were a direct result of my own experimenting or incorrect usage. One of the photos in a negative review by another buyer show clearly that the machine was not even assembled correctly before use! It's the buyer's responsibility to get at least the basic setup right before coming here and bashing the machine, manufacturer, or any other party involved with the distribution and sales. My machine arrived safe, in one piece, and looking as good as one could hope…

Not always perfect on my review.

Some buttons turned out great and others were messed up so I cant sell them. It seems when trying to use the mylar on top is when it gets jammed or doesnt allow the button to be secured properly

Pros
  • Buttons are an excellent way to personalize gifts for friends, family, and loved ones
Cons
  • Button-making process can be messy
