Larger than pictured - large treats, small toys and pieces of fruit

Much larger than pictured. That's good and bad. It's good that I can fit fruit, large treats and small toys here, but my gray parrot usually prefers small treats so they fall out of this toy too easily. My fault, even though fgor doesn't check for correct size, it's still a very good toy. If you need a toy for big treats or small playthings this is definitely good quality and I recommend it.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This is a big hit with the bird and a good deal!

This item is a big hit, making it a very versatile toy both inside and outside the cage. The first few times I used it I didn't put anything in it but treats. This created an association of treats with the ball. Now my bird will spend hours quietly searching for a treat. Maybe they are there, maybe not. Who knows? No other toy has kept him engaged for so long, and the plastic is so thick and hard that I doubt it will ever break. I think you will get extremely great value from this purchase.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Weight

The plastic is strong enough that the macaw doesn't break, but the treats I tried to use, shelled nuts, are too small and fall out of the slots. The pellet feed I use (Harrisons) also falls out of the slots. The food that doesn't fall out of the toy are large chunks of fruit and veg, but my birds are like children, they don't have the motivation to work on most fruits and veg, so I'm still working on that. I like that I can completely disassemble and wash it easily.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Legacy

Well made toy, the screws are very tight and feel solid. However, it's bigger than I expected and the holes are pretty big too, so I only have (regular) popcorn. Even the biggest pellets and almonds I have just fall out and I still don't like feeding my bird too many nuts. Smaller pieces might stick better to cloth paper, so I'll try, but I think a lot of things will end up on the bottom of his play stand or cage anyway. I'm surprised to see other reviewers mention the chain as I didn't have…

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • keep quiet

Twelve claws up! about means for feeding and watering

All our birds love them. I originally bought one to try and put a steel kebab in and hung it in my African Gray Congo male's cage. He liked it and found creative ways to remove content. I've filled it with everything from foot toys and bird biscuits to pistachios in their shells, as well as scraps of paper you can buy to fill Easter baskets. Both Grays love to pull out paper and try to put away treats and toys. So for Christmas I decided that everyone should have their own ball instead of…

Pros
  • Brings joy
