I like to try new tools, but many of them turn out to be useless. This tool is more than a ruler. When used carefully and correctly, it allows you to make many cuts in seconds. Every cut is exactly the same. It takes a little more care to make custom sizing cuts, but again, every stripe is accurate. It works for both left-handed and right-handed people. GAMER CHANGER for QUILTERS! My friend recommended the Stripology line. I'm ashamed of the price but it's worth every penny. By cutting the fabric and using the Stripology ruler (watch the GE Designs videos for great instructions) I was able to cut the strips MUCH FASTER for my next project. I've only used my new Stripology XL Quilting Rule a few times so far and it works great! It stays securely in place, as Creative Grids promises. It's a little pricey, but I figured it was worth it, and I knew it was worth it when I quickly cut four 5" strips without moving the ruler! Ruler. I love Creative Grids rulers so I was dying to try this time-saving ruler. I just completed a quilt that included 96 strips that were 10.5" each and 56 blocks that were 10.5" each. I've found that if you make even the slightest mistake in folding the fabric, your cuts can be wrong! I had to trim the entire width of the fabric for a set of 10.5 inch strips. My wife is a seamstress. She has both smaller versions of this line. They make cutting strips much easier. The designer was clearly left-handed as the numbers run from left to right and the zero on the left. Previous versions had numbers at both the top and bottom of the ruler.
