Working but tight

That worked, but I don't understand how. The instructions (you can see them in the second photo of the listing) tell you what to do but not why and I'd love to know why! How does cutting one wire 5mm shorter than the other end up ending up on a hot blade? I want to see the cut. Also, I had an SPT-1 wire, but I had to really squeeze it there - it's stuck and it takes some force to close the lid.

Pros
  • Bulk pack of 5, easy plug for appliances and lights.
Cons
  • Periodicity

Well made and easy to use.

For devices that have to be used behind furniture, I prefer to use angled AC plugs. Proper angle prevents damage to cables where the cable exits the connector. Inexpensive rectangular AC connectors are sometimes difficult to find and usually not available in large hardware stores. These snap connectors are well made and easy to use. They seem ideal for lamps, radios, and other low-power electrical devices. This was my 5th order. gratitude

Pros
  • For use with SPT-1 lamp cord, UL listed.
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

For use with lower wattage bulbs and thinner wires

I doubted they would work, but they're great for thin wire. I make a lot of steampunk lamps, like in the photo. The plugs are polarized, which is very important. I would never use this on thicker wires (16, 14). It is important that you only apply them to low-wattage lamps. For anything heavier, I always use a grounded plug. I have a second set and they work great with braided lamp wire. Another nice thing is that the plug has a small rectangular footprint, which helps in tight spaces and when…

Pros
  • No wire strippers or special tools required for use. Instructions for use in the packaging.
Cons
  • Hardly ever

Nice plugs. FYI: The wires are pierced for the connection.

The instructions are not very clear. I was expecting some sort of tiny screw on the connectors, so that was a bit confusing. You do NOT have to cut one wire shorter than the other like the instructions say. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ It makes no sense. Look at the picture I included. You just stick both wires into the end of the connector and bend them down. The small metal spikes on the connector cut through the rubber shielding etc. and make contact with the cable. Make sure you connect the neutral and hot wires…

Pros
  • Connectors have polarized pins (wide pin on the left), lamp cable exits to the right of the side connector for flat installation spaces.
Cons
  • Nothing
