This is a great looking door knocker but it is made of resin which is clearly stated but I just wish it was cast metal so it does lasts longer. I think if I survive 2 or 3 years it will be a miracle

We have an old thick wooden door and this knocker was easy to fit. However, I painted the screws gold to match the octopus and recommend that too. We got compliments on the door knocker. Besides, it's just a funny guard for our door. We love it.

Easy to install in a stud wall as we used it as a towel rail in the bathroom. The ring broke after a few weeks and the kids pulled on it, but I re-glued it with Gorilla Glue and it didn't budge. I would buy this again. We've received several compliments on how unique it looks.

I love this item. Looks cool, nice and solid. I already had a "Captain's Cabin" sign on the front which per se wasn't a big fan but that makes it great. Either the screws were missing or I accidentally threw them away, but I was able to get the ones that worked fairly easily.

Love the look of this unique door knocker. It's functional, although I feel like it's more for decoration than utility. The finish is a beautiful brown/bronze, not gold as shown in the picture. It was very easy to install and came with hardware to install. I can't wait for the guests to come and see how people react to this. Great housewarming gift for anyone who loves squid.
