Beware! NOT the same paper as Rendr's sketchbooks.

I use Rendr wire sketchbooks regularly. For some reason the quality of the paper in this 3" x 5" flat notepad is not the same. The color is different and most importantly the absorbency is different. The paper in this album bleeds a lot compared to the wire version. The same ink reacts differently on paper and dries differently. I found it impossible to get the same level of detail with a brush as I could with wired paper. Unless you used wire paper you probably won't notice the difference, but

Doesn't lie flat but is still a good sketchbook

Edit 1: Added photos Edit 2: Added another scammer here. After intensively coloring with a marker in this album, slight bleeding can be seen on the back of the page. Getting a lower rating is not enough, just something to look out for. I admit I made a mistake and bought the 3.5 x 5.5 thinking it was bigger than it actually was. This notebook definitely doesn't lay flat, even after clicking the page. Another problem with uneven placement is that the page is too small to create clean background…

Fantastic quality! in Fine Art Paper

If you're looking for a smooth paper with no bleeds, this is it! The Crescent Render notebooks have been my favorites since I discovered them. If you can envision a Copic marker or broad-tipped felt-tip pen drawing a broad, solid line, then there is NO color bleed through to the back, just a slight halo of the image (slightly raised and only visible when the paper is slanted inclined). certain angle). I have tried to show it in the attached photos. I tested the paper's limits with a black and…

product change? - Painting, Art Supplies

I don't know what happened to Rendr paper, but I really, really don't like what has changed. It used to be cotton, a really soft paper that applied so well with markers and was great for smudging and even layers of paint. Now the paper is waxy and something in the paper is literally separating the alcohol from the pigment in my markers causing those hideous watercolors to run, streaks that can't be blended and worst of all something in the paper isn't holding. the ink comes from a pen, so even…

Artist's Dream Marker

I've been using Rendr paper for about a year now and I can safely say I like it. I use Pigma Micron and Copic almost exclusively so I can only talk about inks but they don't really show up. The first day I got it I left the Copic on it for about 20 seconds (video attached) just to test it out. NOTHING! I don't know what black magic they put into this paper to make that happen, but I'm grateful. This is the first time I've been able to use both sides of my sketchbook paper since my amateur…
