Great budget computer that ticks all the basics

So far this dive watch is just what I've been looking for. - Dive time tracking - Temperature. I buy it based on reviews and price, it will eventually become my "spare" computer but for now I like it. The strap is a bit long, but better too long than too short.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • boring packaging

Well made product, great size to display important information. Color options (good for women) This is a value based product - reliable and gives me the data I need - I'm a minimalist and have little desire to do caving/engineering/rebreather work - I wouldn't use Shearwater . But it is very conservative in its dive profile. A decision must be made about a return. Maybe I went to "Bargain"?

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • So far so good

Average computer in general; Solid calculator in the price range.

I have mixed feelings. The biggest complaint is the backlight is abysmal. I bought it as a backup computer and it works as expected with a robust and secure algorithm. As it only costs a little more money than a good quality analog setup, for the beginner diver this would be a good computer to start with until you can figure out what you really want from your computer, but I would take it for what it is . Fair price for a decent computer that you'll probably upgrade later.

  • Decent performance

Good for beginners: Instruments

I really like this first computer. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because the instructions are basically useless. I had to do a lot of research and watch YouTube videos to get used to computers. In addition, it is easy to use, has a very large clear screen and is accurate. The backlight is ok, I only read it with my flashlight during a night dive and didn't even bother with it. Otherwise it could be clearly seen on day dives in low visibility conditions. It'll be great to tie me up…

No need to spend more

I've spent a lot of time looking at different computers and I tend to exaggerate the prices a bit when I learn more about the bells and whistles. In that case, I'm glad I didn't. I am an advanced open water diver and was ready to get my first computer before going on another dive. Just got back from a couple of dives in Bali with my new toy and it did everything I wanted including counting down to the safety stop. It might be too quick to call me if I got up quickly, but I don't mind being…

  • Best in class

Beeps constantly and sometimes goes into decompression

I agree because it usually does its job: However, sometimes it goes into decompression on the second dive for no apparent reason. I have friends who have the same computer and they are facing the same problem. From time to time you will be put into decompression mode, while any other computer with the same dive profile, even other Cressi Leonardo computers, is far from it. A much more annoying trait is that spawning too quickly is very conservative. In fact, it's so conservative that if you…

Difficult to read display Features

I was really hoping to write a positive review when I first ordered this dive computer, but unfortunately I have to give it 1 star. Overall it appears to be a well-made device with a feature that is easy to understand and use, but in the end it doesn't matter if the screen is difficult to read. I really feel that the Cressi Sub missed the mark by not providing a higher contrast digital readout on its display. This is configurable and the light display is nominal at best. Unfortunately, to put…

Great computer for beginner/intermediate divers

I'll never be a great diver but I love diving and do it wherever I can. What should a diver like me have and wear? The mask and snorkel are my choices but I added this dive computer. While the one-button controls feel clunky, in practice it works very well and adjustments are easy. Directions could be much better but that can be overcome. The screen is easy to read, the backlight is adequate and the beeper is almost frighteningly loud, but it's an alarm! I usually dive with Nitrox and this…
