Worked great. No problems

Worked great right from the start. True plug and play technology. Installed the card in a PCIe slot (it was x16, but the size of the PCIe slot doesn't matter). The two serial ports on the card showed up as PCIe COM ports, but the driver didn't install. I inserted the driver disk that came with the card and went to the folder indicated in the instructions. started the installation application; and that was all it took. The correct drivers have been successfully installed; ;COM ports of the card…

Works as described!

Replaced an old defective card with this one on a Windows 10 x64 machine. He asked for a driver (which is provided). Easy to install and works great with legacy plotters and Signature 8 Labs.

  • Finally Bought

Try this method for Windows 8.1 if you have trouble

This is the second one I installed. I used USB to serial converters and wanted to install them on two of my computers that I use for digital ham radio. Item exactly as described, full profile and low profile in box. I am using Windows 8.1. I always create a restore point before installing any hardware or software, just a thought. Install it, start your computer, go to Device Manager and you'll see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside, no problem. Insert the CD, right-click the…

Works great for HRD and TS-440 on a 64-bit Win 7 computer.

Works very well on my HP desktop so far (about 5 years old, Intel processor). I use it to access my Kenwood TS-440S via Ham Radio Deluxe. I didn't use the driver CD but let Windows 7 (64-bit) find the drivers itself. It took a while but now Comm 8 and 9 are working fine. No BSOD like I have with the Belkin USB to Serial Adapter.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

A good low cost alternative when a D9 serial interface is required.

blocks work well; Drivers must be installed to work with a Dell computer and driver installation is not intuitive. There are signs that the driver installation failed, but the devices work fine afterwards. Short profile boards require some assembly. All in all, a sensible and cost-effective solution when a serial interface is required. On the second install, after learning about the driver installation process and ignoring the error warning, it took me just a few seconds to get the serial port.

Pros
  • understandable for the old
Cons
  • so far so good

Works fine / worth it

Installed on my PC went smoothly. Windows 10 didn't install the driver automatically, but when I had it search for the driver on the installation CD that came with it, it found it and installed it with no problems. I bought this to work on my CCNA and connect to Cisco routers through the COM port. I use putty and have no problem connecting to two switches at the same time with this card.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Approximately
