An easy choice among teapots

Nothing to say about this product: you know what quality to expect from Le Creuset and they deliver (and they are better considering the price). One thing I wasn't aware of beforehand is that they recommend emptying the pot after each use to avoid limescale build-up, which is a little less convenient than leaving water in the pot. Also, I turned on the stove without closing the spout. several times, which could potentially burn down the house. I'm not sure if self-closing pans exist. You can…

Le Creuset: Please learn from this!

I have owned Le Creuset casseroles and casseroles for over 40 years and have always admired them. Since all of these pots and casseroles were of high quality, beautiful looking and durable, I assumed the Le Creuset kettle would be of the same caliber. Not correct! Comparing my old Le Creuset to my new creations is almost ridiculous. And this kettle is no exception. Like other reviewers, I encountered HEAVY rust in the teapot. In fact, the entire bottom of the cauldron was covered with rust. I'm a tea lover and I easily use the kettle ten times a day. I…

Best teapot

I bought this Caribbean teapot about 2 years ago. I've had many issues with other kettles and kettles rusting, whistling or spilling. This kettle holds just the right amount of water and whistles so loud I can hear it in another room. I use this kettle almost every day and have never had a problem with rusting, peeling or anything other than taking care not to burn myself. The only thing that was weird was that when I first got it, the lid didn't quite fit. One of the pins that latches and…
